Boy Genius Takes Down UsedWigs, Plus Tim and Eric!

Tim & Eric

Digged: A silly little story I penned a while back, Boy Genius Finishes College at 10, Stuck in Crappy Job at 11 was picked up by the popular website www.digg.com, a community-based popularity site where news stories and websites are submitted by users. It’s a fun site for techy and nonsense stories. Anyway, the “Boy Genius” story got a lot of “Hits” and “Diggs” and crashed our little site.

“Crashed” isn’t the best word, when the hits started pouring in, my lovely and caring host just yanked a crucial page or two of important code and left our site inoperable and looking rather unpleasant. (I am still waiting for a satisfactory response from our hosting service.) We apologize for the downtime.

Funny: So with my site down, I spent the majority of my day fuming mad and being a nasty turd to everyone I encountered. I did find a wee bit of happiness when I checked out the latest venture of online hilarity form our Philly pals, Tim & Eric (see interview) who just launched the first episode of Tim and Eric Nite Live. The show is too strange for words and is jam packed with uncomfortable awkwardness, blank stares and blatant product placements. It also has a guest appearance by Zach Galifianakis, who rules. If you’re fans of “How I Met Your Mother” and “Chuck,” you will hate this more than you could ever imagine.

  1. Speaking of geniuses, I love the RAGING DEBATE at Digg about whether the Boy Genius story is REAL or FAKE.

Uh… does this look like ABC News?

No comment (I mean, well, this is a comment, so…)
