I like this concept: a comedy that actually looks funny. Cyrus – A recently divorced guy meets the woman of his dreams. Then he meets her son. Starring John C. Reilly, Marisa Tomei, Jonah Hill and Catherine Keener.
For kicks, let’s say you are Brett Ratner or McG and you completely lose your shit (yes, even more shit-brained than usual) and you ask one of those mouth-breathing apes on “The Hills” (or any of those MTV scripted reality shows) to write and cast your next movie — I know, it’s not so far-fetched [...]
Movie Trailer Review: “Love Happens” and “How Jennifer Aniston Picks a Movie” One year ago in the office of Jennifer Aniston’s agent. Agent: Hiya Jen, thanks for coming in. You look fabulous. I’ve been reading over some scripts and I thought we’d try something different, you know, to keep you career on this great upward trajectory.
If you love gawking at good looking actors, I’m talking non-stop close-ups of perfect faces and playful glances, you’ll lose you shit for this super-sized commercial produced by the New York City Tourism Board.
Sixteen Candles: Farmer Ted (aka The Geek) was best comedic teen role ever. Nothing comes close. Love Anthony Michael Hall. John Hughes was an insanely talented writer and director, he’ll be missed. Some of my favorite Farmer Ted quotes:
For all you moon nerds on this big day, this movie should put boost your rockets. (I’ll be impressed when we get to the sun.) “JULY MOON is the story of the lost NASA tapes, and the man who had them stored in a garage for over twenty years.”

I like that the earth is now bloodsuckers only (nice twist) who are faced with a dwindling blood supply.
HERB & DOROTHY tells the extraordinary story of Herbert Vogel, a postal clerk, and Dorothy Vogel, a librarian, who managed to build one of the most important contemporary art collections in history with very modest means. In the early 1960s, when very little attention was paid to Minimalist and Conceptual Art, Herb and Dorothy Vogel quietly began purchasing the works of unknown artists.
John Krasinski busts outs of his Jim Halpert persona playing 100% against type as a marauding, tattooed, ex-con thief hell bent on avenging the brutal murder of… no wait… he’s playing Halpert again, but this time with an indie-guy beard and glasses. Way to go, Strecth.
He’s paired with the cute but droopy Maya Rudolph [...]
Beer Wars begins as the corporate behemoths are being challenged by small, independent brewers who are shunning the status quo and creating innovative new beers.
