If you love gawking at good looking actors, I’m talking non-stop close-ups of perfect faces and playful glances, you’ll lose you shit for this super-sized commercial produced by the New York City Tourism Board.

Sixteen Candles: Farmer Ted (aka The Geek) was best comedic teen role ever. Nothing comes close. Love Anthony Michael Hall. John Hughes was an insanely talented writer and director, he’ll be missed. Some of my favorite Farmer Ted quotes:

I love a good vampire movie. Give me one with a new twist on the mythology (synthetic blood!) or a classic stake-through-the-heart chiller and I’m usually sucked in, just don’t crap it up with a lot of romance… or moody teens. “Daybreakers” (in theaters January 8, 2010) looks pretty slick. I like that the earth is now bloodsuckers only (nice twist) who are faced with a dwindling blood supply.

John Krasinski busts outs of his Jim Halpert persona playing 100% against type as a marauding, tattooed, ex-con thief hell bent on avenging the brutal murder of… no wait… he’s playing Halpert again, but this time with an indie-guy beard and glasses. Like you, I love a good Michel Gondry movie (“Be Kind Rewind,” “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”), so I was happy to hear he had a new film coming out: a collaboration with two other directors I know nothing about.
