“Sixteen Candles” Original Trailer and Farmer Ted Quotes »

Sixteen Candles: Farmer Ted (aka The Geek) was best comedic teen role ever. Nothing comes close. Love Anthony Michael Hall. John Hughes was an insanely talented writer and director, he’ll be missed. Some of my favorite Farmer Ted quotes:

Movie Trailer Review: "July Moon" »

For all you moon nerds on this big day, this movie should put boost your rockets. (I’ll be impressed when we get to the sun.) “JULY MOON is the story of the lost NASA tapes, and the man who had them stored in a garage for over twenty years.”

Great Vampire Flicks and "Daybreakers" Movie Trailer Review »

vamps

I love a good vampire movie. Give me one with a new twist on the mythology (synthetic blood!) or a classic stake-through-the-heart chiller and I’m usually sucked in, just don’t crap it up with a lot of romance… or moody teens. “Daybreakers” (in theaters January 8, 2010) looks pretty slick. I like that the earth is now bloodsuckers only (nice twist) who are faced with a dwindling blood supply.

Movie Trailer Review: TOKYO! »

Like you, I love a good Michel Gondry movie (“Be Kind Rewind,” “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”), so I was happy to hear he had a new film coming out: a collaboration with two other directors I know nothing about. That’s okay, don’t need to know them because this film looks pretty darn cool. [...]

Movie Trailer Review: "Adventureland" »

“From the director of Superbad…” No shit. Greg Mottola found insane success with his first teenage romp (with heart, mind you, miles and miles of heart!), so taking a page from the Hollywood Comedy Manual, he decided to pretty much make the same film once again. Mottola’s pre-production to do list: Get Michael Cera. Not [...]
