Hi, this is a very very good review of this album (the best I’ve read). I just saw Marnie Stern last night with Lee and she absolutely shreds and gives 100%, which means she rocks like nobody’s business. Her new cd is even better than the first, somehow upping the ante to her unmatchable style. Live, the drummer somehow aped Zach Hill quite nicely, and they ran through these wonderful songs like a winged unicorn towing a ufo.

Yeah, I think you might have to equally get a kick out of things like CocoRosie for this one to really hit home. Thanks for giving it a shot though and letting us know what you thought – BTW, I have to confess that I wasn’t aware of Sylvia Juncosa (I would bet that Jeff was/is though, based on her former bands) but spent a bit of time searching out some of her playing – thanks for the lead!

I am a huge Don Cab and King Crimson fan and I could just NOT get into this album. I tried. And I’m not sure when I think rock guitar chick I think Sylvia Juncosa, but I do.
