Dear Alex and Annie

Alex and Annie, who wore shirts with their names on them so you could tell them apart, doled out advice to kids and teens on the “Kids are People Too” show back in the late 70s. Annie was a tad shrill (and not a cute as I remember) and Alex felt the need to wear both a belt and suspenders. I have never been able to get their theme song out of my head.

    I remember “Kids Are People Too”! I was a children’s rights activist as a child, and at the time I thought, “OF COURSE we’re people. Jesus Christ! What else would we be? Animals?” It was a good show, though. They should’ve had me on.

    I do remember the show every Sunday morning before going to church. It’s right after “Kids Are People Too” and before “Animals, Animals, Animals.” in the late 70′s to the early 80′s. It sure brings back memories.

    Dear Alax & Annie.I’ve remember y’all’s show and the song of it at the beginning and end that I couldn’t hardly get it out of my mind the song locks in my mind!And the memory of the late 1970s and early 1980s.that’s one the things I grew up with,when I was a kid.
