Last Train Home at The Collar in Philly!

Last Train Home

Last Train Home in Philly! Eric Brace and the band venture above the Mason Dixon Line to bring some majestic alt-country/roots rock music to the Bishops Collar this Sunday July 13th for a late afternoon show, 4 pm - 7 pm. Get there early, it’s an intimate setting. Have some fries, many beers and plop some coinage into the impressive jukebox.

I first saw Last Train Home at the Collar many many moons ago, not knowing who they were ( I was just there to drink), and was absolutely floored by their stellar performance. If I recall correctly, about 8 musicians were packed in the back of the tiny room — guitars, strings, horns, keyboards… I think there was even a monkey playing cymbals. It was just one of those perfect nights where the large noisy crowd was quickly hushed into silence and awe by the band’s stirring mix of country and rock, melancholy and sweet one moment, driving and raucous the next.

I’ve seen them many times now and vocalist Eric Brace always creates convivial vibe effortlessly, by the third or fourth song, a new listener feels like a long-time fan.

Last Train Home will also be in PA area the two days prior: Friday July 11th at Puck in Doylestown and Saturday July 12th at the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts in State College, PA.
