Memorable TV-Special Themes from the ’70s and ’80s

abc_assHopefully you will get all tingly inside when you hear some of these marvelous and majestic “TV Special” themes from your past.  Upon hearing just a few notes, you might be taken back to a comfy quiet place in your youth and it could get a bit Pavlovian: salivation starts, you walk to the fridge, drink maple syrup straight from the bottle, eat a couple raw hot dogs, wet your pants, wonder why friends don’t stop by much… or was that just me? Anyway, enjoy.

Priceless. The laser sounds in The Big Event theme are especially choice.

The dance fight is odd for so many reasons – not the least of which is the fact that all of the bad guys are wearing very feminine purple outfits. But most of all, the lyrics are really violent and weird – made even stranger by the cornball delivery. Creepy.

    Wow…the 4:30 movie on ABC. That’s awesome.

When I was a kid, every time I turned on the 4:30 movie it was either Lady In A Cage or Day Of The Triffids.
