Movie Trailer Review: The Happening

Here’s the latest trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming “The Happening” which was shot in the Philly area last Summer. It stars Mark Wahlberg (playing a high school teacher and donning a sweater vest) John Leguizamo and Zooey Deschanel (cute as ever). It opens June 13th, can’t wait for the Philly premiere when none of the stars show up.

The first trailer just showed a bunch of people dying (very cheery) and revealed little else. I guess it didn’t test well, so they released this new version that lets us know its about a chemical attack or outbreak (a big military oopsie) and how a small group of good-looking people fight back. Or it could be a monster or alien attack or something totally unexpected, but I am certain about the “good-looking people fight back” part.

I like M. Night and I hope he can rebound from his last Water World disaster.
