Movie Trailer Review: My Best Friend’s Girl

There are many great mysteries in the world that will never be solved. The impetus behind the creation of this movie is the great mystery I am most concerned with today. I’m thinking a producer with a face full of blow was barking out the following orders to his bewildered assistants:
“Hey, that ugly kid from American Pie… Biggs… his movies usually pull bout2-5 million total box office, right? Let’s make another movie with him! [snort snort] Also, get me that MySpace comedian guy who rips off all the other comics… Dan Cook… yeah, his past three films took a large shit at the box office. He’d be perfect for this! Love him! Let’s get him too. [snort snort snort] Fantastic. Love interest? How about that blonde, flat-faced killjoy, Goldie’s kid, yeah her. She’s got the sex appeal of an onion. Awesome. [snort snort snort snort] Looks like my goal of making the least-watchable film in the history of Hollywood will finally come to fruition. What? Are we counting snuff films? Yes, of course we are. This steaming pile of celluloid will be even more utterly unwatchable than any snuff film ever made, yep, even counting the German stuff. [snort snort snort snort... collapse... ZZzzzzzzzz].”
The only unexpected thing that happens in this dreadful clip is the man, Dane Cook, falls down instead of the usually klutzy woman, Kate Hudson, while they are in the midst of a fun-filled date.
This trailer is brutal and fills me with rom-com rage. I need to go get some air.

Why do you subject yourself to these?

good point Scott, I’m a masochist. I’d rather watch complete crap then middling nonsense, it’s more fun to dissect. Let me know how it is when you and you DC posse go and see it.

Dane Cook started off as a stand up comedian; now he’s starring in movies with Jessica Simpson, Jessica Alba and Kate Hudsen… pretty impressive.
