Portman, Paint It Black and The Italian Spiderman

Trailer Time: Eric “The Hulk” Bana gets to bed down both Natalie Portman (bad sister) and Scarlett Johansson (good sister) in the boobs-a-poppin’ period piece, The Other Boleyn Girl. Not a bad gig for an actor. It’s nice to see the lovely Miss Portman play against type and not so nice to see Scarlett sans makeup. Her eyebrowless face resembles a fetus. Not good.

Paint It Black: My most favorite hardcore band in the entire world (yes, i sound like a 14-year old), Philly’s own Paint It Black, has a new song for you to enjoy. Download the track Past Tense, Future Perfect (MP3) from the upcoming release “New Lexicon” (February 2008) on the Jade Tree label. Also check out my review of their 2005 masterpiece “Paradise.”

Go Reid Go: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will keep the U.S. Senate in session over the Thanksgiving break because he wants to block President Bush from making any recess appointments. A major goal of the much-motivated Dems – who have been burned in the past by Bush’s sneaky-ass maneuvers – is to block the appointment of the this major nutjob to the post of Surgeon General. I know I am a picky pete, but I would really like our nation’s top doc to actually work in a medical type environment, not a church trying to cure gays. Say a prayer Reid stays on top of the gavel!
