Photo Agencies Report Record Sales of "Distressed Businessman" Images

While the majority of large businesses and corporations are feeling the crushing pain of the nation’s economic woes, photos agencies like Getty, Reuters, Associated Press and others are doing bang-up business in one particular category.

“Over the past couple of weeks demand has been overwhelming. Newspapers and websites need at least 10-20 photos a day of traders, bankers and other Wall Street types seriously losing their shit. We got a ton of these misery shots, so it’s pretty awesome for us,” said Jake Deponcere.

According to Deponcere, most searches are for: “Stock Ticker” AND “Angry Trader” AND “Clenched Fist” OR “Hands on Sad Face.” Other popular search terms and phrases are: “Screaming Banker,” “Utterly Despondent Businessman” and “Hopeless Guy with Loosened Tie Staring at Record Low Financial Numbers on Multiple Monitors.”

According to most news editors, these photos are necessary and they will pay top dollar for them because “Even with the economy completely fucked, people love seeing these Wall Street douchebags totally eat it.”
