It seems the party-poopin’ puritans running CBS have a problem with heads and asses and the comical meeting of both. This funny ad was created by the team at the Brooklyn Brothers agency, including (our pal and UsedWigs contributor) copywriter Mike Pierantozzi. They just got word the commercial will be nixed. Nipple-fearing CBS declined to comment why.

Boo! I love anything that makes fun of golfers and their silly outfits (expertly detailed in this ad). I’m sure this will free up time for another 30 seconds of that doodling, long-haired, UPS automaton and his stupid white board. Ugh.

So forgive me for another sunny little shout-out. CBS3’s Nicole Brewer just posted this funny follow up from her day spent with me and the boys. Nicole works very hard, even though Todd accused her of taking naps while she was filming our podcast.

“I went into the shoot expecting the content to make for good television, but never realized how much fun I’d have in the process! Jeff, Russ and Bob, er Todd were all amazing to work with and Russ’ wife Lisa even allowed us to take complete run of her newly remodeled home.

Even before the cameras were rolling, the guys had me in stitches. Of course, things only worsened once I put them on-camera altogether. (Can you say tangents?!) At one point, I had to cut the audio out of the video because you could hear me cracking up. CBS Green-lights My Secret Public Journal! We’re big fans of comedian Mike Birbiglia (that’s “Birbigs” to those in the know) and his secret public journal.

He’s got himself a big network show, hopefully he’ll say no to the laugh track and won’t have ancient comedians guest star as his parents… at least until season 4. Here’s the skinny straight from the low-key comic himself:
