The monologue was solid, but a little long. I got a worried his energy level would peter out, but the pace picked up from there. Even while wearing Eddie Murphy’s ridiculous, skin-tight purple leather suit later in the show (I thought he was going to pass out), Conan was on fire and proved to be a great showman.
