Our pals at phillyBurbs are having a “Take Your Dog to Work Day” tomorrow. I love this idea, it’s much better than dragging your kids to work so they can stare at you banging your mouse and cursing up a storm while they staple sticky notes together and yawn. Dogs, they’ll just sleep, eat, doot and sleep some some more… just like you do at work.

Kudos to phillyBurbs, a very dog-friendly office.  Look, Maui is bored with Illuminati, just like his coworkers. (More Photos.)

Sad to Report: Philly-area writer and video producer Brian Hickey (City Paper, Philly Weekly) was seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver this past Friday night. He’s a good guy and talented writer, keep him in your thoughts, here’s the latest from City Paper and more from Philebrity.

“I taught Mike a few phrases to help him with his ‘interracial’ conversations. You know like ‘fleece it out,’ ‘going Mach 5,’ ‘dinkinflicka.’ You know, things us Negroes say.

“Mike, you’re a very brave man, I mean it takes courage just to be you. To get out of bed every single day knowing full well you gotta be you.”

Darryl is portrayed with low-key brilliance by actor/comedian Craig Robinson, who is a very busy man of late. In addition to “The Office,” he has appeared in some big name comedies (Pineapple Express, Zack and Miri Make a Porno) and does stand-up as well.

He will be at Helium Comedy Club in Philly: 11/19/2008 through 11/22/2008.
