Hi, just a little break from the normal nonsense. I’m raising money for Back on My Feet (BoMF) again this year. BoMF is a great nonprofit that “that promotes the self-sufficiency of those experiencing homelessness by engaging them in running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-esteem.”

My 20in24 Interview – Sponsor Me & Help The Homeless! »

I’m trying to raise some funds for Back on My Feet, a great nonprofit that promotes self-sufficiency for the homeless. I’m doing so by running a long race called the 20in24. I’m part of a 5-member team—The State Chomps— that will run a total of 126 miles (maybe more!) in 24 hours (25.2 miles per person), then drink a lot and moan about being sore.

How This Marathon Went Horribly Wrong »

I’m not the most educated runner, I kind of pride myself on a makeshift DIY method of training. I glance at Runner’s World every month, but mostly I just run a lot, sometimes far, sometimes not, and base my training on feel not on rigid schedules and special diets. That said, this homemade method has served me well in the past. Today, not really. And be not really, I mean not at all.
