I almost got roped in at the event today in the Lowes in Tampa. I was the guy in the leather biker jacket and ARMY t-shirt buying some cactus and a firepit.

I like my backyard, I just wanted to remove the cactuses that died over the last few weeks and replace them. I was trying to get through the mayhem at Lowes when I was asked regarding my cart with 4 cactus and a firepit, "What's this all about?" by Ahmed. "Are you making the world's smallest garden?"

He didn't listen to me at all as the questions progressed, just insulted me a lot. For instance, I made a comment that I tried to build something and stopped because "Building stuff is not my skillset". He jumped on the word "try" and gives me a lecture of how you can't "try" anything. He then proceeds to insult me by 'trying' to grab a napkin out of his hand and then drops it on the cart I am using later on.

I found this website when I can home. I am EXTREMELY glad I torn up the release!!!

Very interesting and agressive idea. In my four decades in the industry I have told many of our clients, “Be careful about adopting ideas from TV and books with out doing diligence. I only have three hero’s on TV today and two of them are on one show. Good luck and maybe you can be number four.

Crusader, this piece is making fun of the “DIY” Channel and the professionals who do the work, not the actual homeowners who do their own work on some of the shows. If you saw one of the DIY Network shows, you’d see how ridiculous they get. Regarding stealing British show ideas, very true, you can have American Idol back whenever you want…

This isn’t a new idea it’s been around on British TV for a decade in the form of DIY SOS. Guess what the basic premise of that show is? DIYer’s get it wrong and the DIY SOS team come in to fix it. Wow. Yet another case of American ‘originality’ well done.
