Todd played this band our our podcast back in 2005 and I did not dig them at all. My novelty band guard was up and I didn’t give them a chance, and now I must admit the error of my ways. After repeated listens, I am now a huge fan and have the strange compulsion to double dutch. These colorful Brits combine the best elements of a drum-heavy marching band (talking Grambling State, not Notre Dame) and some funkified old-school hip hop (Neneh Cherry comes to mind) to create an exquisite explosion of high-energy hooks. Get out the jump ropes!
