Buttoned-up schoolmarm Dawn is trying to kill the buzz of super party cowgirl Dawn with some warning about something or other. Let’s hope she doesn’t succeed. Country-fried Dawn seems (and looks) like a lot of fun! I love this song. It’s a rollicking and fairly dark departure from the usually stripped down and refined Landes.

I also love love love the video. So cool. Everything about it works: the film grain, the soft focus shots and the beer-soaked dance moves project the proper hazy and slightly dangerous night on the town vibe. It also has a bit of a late 80s video vibe (dig the transitions, multiple outfit changes and stern glances to the camera), maybe just maybe, poking fun at those heavy-handed Pat Benatar and Madonna cautionary vids?

I should also note the video is helped a great deal by Landes being just as cute and alluring as she is talented. Love the boots.
